The Global Fashion industry is one of the largest, most dynamic and influential industries on the planet. It is one of the most impactful and therefore should also have the power to play a pivotal role in leading the shift towards a more sustainable future.
ASSOMAC COMMITMENT: “SUPPLIER OF SUSTAINABLE TECHNOLOGY”
Assomac associated Companies want to show that together they can make the difference on the Sustainability Global Challenge, by providing technology solutions useful to massively redirecting production processes towards low-carbon, low biodiversity impact and resilient development.
There NO sustainable manufacturing processes in Footwear/Leather goods and Tannery
WITH OUT sustainable technologies to be implemented.
“Supplier of Sustainable Technologies” initiative aims at promoting and sharing, along the international value chain of fashion, the hard topics related to a smart and conscious management of the natural resources, energetic inputs and water consumption in order to qualify the manufacturing process as sustainable, with a scientific approach.
At the center of the "Sustainable Technologies" project is the ASSOMAC green label: a voluntary labeling of the technology Italian suppliers for the leather-footwear industry, which highlights the energy and/or environmental performances, calculated with reference to a internationally recognized parameter, the CFP (Carbon Footprint), measured with the shared and standardized calculation method of LCA (Life Cycle Assessment).
HOW IT WORKS: “GREEN LABELLING”
Green Label (Targa Verde) it’s the tool a footwear/ tannery Company need in order to be compliance with environmental transparency and accountability regulations.
The Green Label is an easy-to-read tool able to highlights the Energy/Envi performances in term of Carbon Footprint (CFP) international recognized parameter, calculated in the own production process and measured with the standardized calculation method of Life Cycle Assessment (LCA).
Assomac has developed the labelling system in collaboration with RINA.
The “Green Label” certification is a IT tool based, a quantitative calculation methodology certified by independent Third Party Entity (RINA Services).
Only Assomac Members can release “Green label” with the new machine or give you a “Green label” of proprietary machinery already installed in your company.
Choose “Made in Italy” Assomac members machineries and equipment for
RELIABILITY, SAFETY, QUALITY AND SUSTAINABILITY.
WHY CHOOSING “GREEN LABELLED” MACHINERIES:
- Suitable for international standard environmental declarations
- Support your company in calculation of CO2 of your production process
- Official CFP declaration certified by Third Independent Entity (more than a simple self-declaration on sustainability)
Facilitate the implementation of auditing protocol
