It was inaugurated on Wednesday, July 12 at Binh Duong, near Ho Chi Minh City, the Italian-Vietnamese Footwear Technology Center, financed by the Ministry of Economic Development and promoted by ICE Agency in collaboration with ASSOMAC, LEFASO, the Vietnamese Association representing the footwear, leather goods and tanning companies in the country and the HCMC College of Industry and Trade.
The inauguration of the LEFASO Services Center was attended by the Vietnamese Deputy Minister of Industry and Commerce, Cao Quoc Hung, Ambassador of Italy in Vietnam Cecilia Piccioni and other local personalities. There were also speakers of the President and Vice President of LEFASO, Nguyen Duc Thuan and Diep Thanh Kiet, as well as the Director of Ho Chi Minh City Ice Agency, Paolo Lemma and ASSOMAC President Gabriella Marchioni Bocca.
In his speech, the President of ASSOMAC, Gabriella Marchioni Bocca, recalled the support given by the Association for the realization of the Center, as well as the support of the Italian companies for the development of the Vietnamese footwear, leather goods and tannery industries.
